Begin your adventure in Negombo, a coastal town known for its relaxing beaches and vibrant local markets. From here, head to Sigiriya, where you can climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Continue to Polonnaruwa, an ancient city filled with well-preserved ruins, including the remarkable Gal Vihara rock carvings and stunning temples.

In Dambulla, visit the Golden Temple and its cave complex, home to beautiful Buddhist murals and statues. Then, make your way to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s cultural heart, where you can explore the Temple of the Tooth Relic and stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Experience the charm, adventure, and natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s highlands, beaches, and cultural gems.

Negombo

On arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be met and assisted by our Airport Representative. Your very own driver will bring you (and your group) to the fishing village of Negombo. After checking in to your hotel, you can relax and recover from your (potential) jet lag. If you have some spare time, your chauffeur will happily show you around Negombo, and its beaches and local sights.

Dambulla

After an early breakfast, your driver will help you check out of your hotel and you will leave for Dambulla. A world heritage site, Dambulla is the largest remaining cave temple in Sri Lanka, built on a 600 feet high rock. In prehistoric times, before the arrival of Buddhism, these caves were used as dwellings, with about 80 caves in the area.

Sigiriya

Today’s journey continues to the citadel of Sigiriya, built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century. Surrounded by a deep moat, it features beautiful Sigiriya frescoes and the famous Mirror Wall (Ketapath Pawura). The site includes gardens, defensive structures, water reservoirs, and many buildings, with stunning water gardens even in the rainy season.

Habarana

Your driver will take you to Habarana, a small village with excellent hotels and a central location perfect for accessing ancient city sites. After hotel check-in, enjoy a leisurely evening to yourself.

Hiriwaduna Village

After breakfast, visit the village of Hiriwaduna to experience the simple lifestyle of a Sri Lankan fishing village. Enjoy a lunch made and served by a local family on a lotus leaf, and don’t forget to take a ride on a bullock cart!

Polonnaruwa

After breakfast, head to Polonnaruwa, the 11th century ancient capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore ancient palaces, monasteries, and historical monuments before returning to your hotel in Habarana for the evening.

Kandy

After breakfast, head out to Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, visit a spice and herbal garden in Matale. Relax at your hotel or visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth (Dalada Maligawa), the greatest Buddhist shrine in Sri Lanka. Enjoy traditional Sri Lankan dance and drum performances at the Kandyan Arts & Culture Centre.

Kitulgala

Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and tour the Peradeniya University premises. Explore a local silk factory and gem museum before heading to Kitulgala, a hotspot for white water rafting and trekking along the Kelani River.

Nuwara Eliya

Travel to the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea production region, Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little England’. Spend your day enjoying the picturesque landscapes, colonial architecture, and cool climate.

Horton Plains

After an early breakfast, visit Horton Plains, the highest plateau in Sri Lanka, renowned for scenic hiking trails and the breathtaking ‘World’s End’ cliff. Return to Nuwara Eliya for sightseeing including Gregory’s Lake and the Gold Club.

Ella

Travel by one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic train journeys to Ella. Enjoy the stunning landscapes and relax in this mountain town known for its waterfalls and natural beauty.

Yala

Arrive at Yala and settle in your hotel. Spend a peaceful evening before an early morning safari.

Yala National Park

Enjoy a private jeep safari through Yala National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife including jackal, spotted deer, sloth bear, Sambar, wild buffalo, mongoose, crocodiles, wild elephants, and the elusive Sri Lankan leopard.
